Té Tārā started as a pop-up space in the LA-area created by friends Linda Ong and Joycie Weatherby.

We wanted to create a space where people could experience the practices we love: meditation, sound, and energy healing sessions and classes, and gathering.

Why the name Té Tārā?

The first word means “tea” in some languages. A version of the word also means the power of a person (or thing) in harmony with the Tao.

The second word is for the deity Tārā. She is the goddess of compassion and helps people to overcome personal difficulties. Her name is derived from the Sanskrit word for “to cross” as she helps humans cross safely from the day of their birth to their last. She is also revered as a meditation deity.
